This degree pathway is for registered nurses (RNs) who have earned an associate degree in nursing or nursing diploma and want to earn an M.S. in Nursing (MSN) degree.

What will I learn?
This program covers advanced nursing theory, practice and research with an emphasis on administration, education and informatics.

Is there a clinical/capstone or practicum?
Yes. While the bridge course does not have clinical hours, the MSN does. The number of required clinical hours for the MSN depends on which track you choose when customizing your degree.

How quickly can I complete this nursing program?
In just 12 weeks you鈥檒l complete an online bridge course as a gateway to the MSN program. The time to complete the MSN degree program depends on which track you choose to follow once you start the program.

MSN-Generalist RN + BSN

What is it and how do I get started? 
The M.S. in Nursing-Generalist (MSN) program is for RNs who aspire to elevate their nursing practice, coordinate care programs, or lead teams in the dynamic and complex healthcare industry. RNs with a B.S. in Nursing (BSN) can enroll directly in the MSN-Generalist program. In this program, you鈥檒l merge coursework with your existing knowledge to strengthen your critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Course topics include clinical prevention and population health, health policy and advanced pharmacology, pathophysiology and physical assessment.

Yes. You鈥檒l conclude the MSN program with a 12-week practicum that will be completed on-site in a healthcare setting.

The M.S. in Nursing-Nurse Administrator program is for RNs who want to lead teams and change, including creating clinical environments that support advanced training and education for nurses. What will I learn?
This program covers functional business (accounting and finance, operations management and human resources) through the healthcare lens. Elective courses provide the opportunity to explore health law and ethics, health information management, or public administration.

MSN-Nurse Educator RN + BSN

The M.S. in Nursing-Nurse Educator program is for RNs who want to do their part to address the shortage of nurse educators by preparing for teaching roles in academic and/or clinical settings. RNs with a B.S. in Nursing (BSN) can enroll directly in the MSN program. RNs without a BSN, can take advantage of the streamlined RN-MSN admissions pathway and qualify for the MSN program after successfully completing one 12-week bridge course

Advanced nursing theory, practice and research with an emphasis on primary care for adults from adolescence through end of life.

Yes. 600 hours, which you will complete on-site in a clinical setting over four semesters (150 hours per term).  

How quickly can I complete this nursing program?
Finish in as few as 27 months.
 

MSN-FNP RN + BSN

The M.S. in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) is a master鈥檚 degree track for RNs who want to specialize in primary care for adults at all stages of life. RNs with a B.S. in Nursing (BSN) can enroll directly in the MSN-FNP program. RNs with a B.S. in Nursing (BSN) can enroll directly in the MSN-PMHNP program. RNs without a BSN, can take advantage of the streamlined RN-MSN admissions pathway and qualify for the MSN program after successfully completing one 12-week bridge course.

What will I learn?
A holistic approach to diagnose acute, episodic and chronic mental health illnesses and provide treatment options that include medication, psychotherapy or a combination of the two.

Yes. 600 hours, which you will complete on-site in a clinical setting over four semesters (150 hours per term).
